Trimble GEDO track measurement systems provide an integrated solution for measurement and quality control associated with track tamping machines and related operations.
Information on the existing track situation is captured and evaluated. The results are processed to be used in tamping machines.
Reduced downtime and fast data processing and transmission increase the productivity of tamping machines. The high accuracy of the Trimble GEDO track measurement systems and the continuous, error-free data flow increase the track geometry quality.
The data formats of all well-known manufacturers, such as Plasser & Theurer, Matisa, Framafer, Plasser American, Harsco Rail, etc. are supported.
After completion of the tamping work, the Trimble GEDO systems are used for quality control purposes. Here, the internal accuracy and the absolute track position are measured in a single operation.
The Trimble GEDO Track system consists of the Trimble GEDO CE 2.0 track measurement trolley with a Trimble control unit in combination with a Trimble total station.
In conjunction with the Trimble Access Rail module Track Trolley software, an easy-to-use, fully integrated measurement system is available for geodetic track as-built tasks. Using the recommended geodetic resection method to position the total station, the quality of the control point network can be checked during the station setup process. Deviations from the nominal track position are displayed live in the field, as well as the location of alignment transition points (main points).
The Trimble GEDO Track system is used for pre-measurement for track tamping in case of small scale projects or for projects that require a geodetic measurement method.
The Trimble GEDO Vorsys system consists of two Trimble GEDO CE 2.0 track measurement trolleys with a Trimble control unit in combination with a Trimble total station.
The system is optimized for pre-measuring for track tamping. The measurement is based on the traditional rail alignment method, which guarantees high internal accuracy. The absolute track position is captured by measurements to control points. Deviations from the nominal track positions are displayed live in the field, as well as the location of alignment transition points (main points).
The Trimble GEDO Vorsys system is used for easy-to-use and high productivity pre-measurement track tamping operations.
The Trimble GEDO IMS system consists of the Trimble GEDO CE 2.0 track measurement trolley with a Trimble GEDO IMU and a Trimble control unit in combination with a Trimble GEDO Profiler or a Trimble total station.
The state-of-the-art inertial measurement technology used in this system guarantees a maximum of productivity and is largely independent of weather conditions. The absolute track position is captured by measurements to control points using a Trimble GEDO Profiler or Trimble total station.
The Trimble GEDO IMS system is used on larger projects with highest productivity and ease-of-use requirements.
